Jorma’s simple couscous

In Finland one could buy ready frozen couscous with the vegetables added and so on, but let us assume that in the shop there is only couscous as groats. The worst you can do is to cook it in water and try to get something edible. Couscous does not have any taste. What you have to do is to get a vegetable bouillion cube and spices.

Put 2 dl of couscous to a pot, which has a lid.

Add there 1 tbl spoon of olive oil.

Cook 2.5 dl of water and put there a vegetable boullion cube.

Add to the water 2 spice measures of black pepper, 2 spice measures of hit paprika,

4 spice measures of curry, some curcuma, maybe some crushed garlic

Boil the water and add 2 dl of it to couscous and cover the pot.

Put a timer for 5 min, couscous will be ready when the timer rings,

Break couscous with a fork.

Meanwhile while waiting, do vegetables.

Put some olive oil to a pan, heat it up.

Add two packages of frozen Chinese vegetables.

When these are ready, put couscous under and vegetables on top on a plate and that’s it. This is tasty food which is extremely simple to make and takes only 7 minutes to make.
